How is the Full Body Health Assessment performed?

A fully trained Naturopathic Practitioner will start by working through some health questions in regard to your health. Your age, weight and height information is entered into the Full Body Scan program. This is then followed by a specialized electronic scan of the whole body. The results will then be analysed and explained to the patient as the assessment is occurring on screen all in 3D full colour body modeling which helps educate you as t how your body functions. The majority of the one hour appointment will be spent discussing the results that will be on the screen in bold colour. A verbal report only is given in this time.

The actual Body Scanning process takes about 6 minutes and is painless, non-invasive and has no known side affects. It requires the client, who is fully clothed and seated comfortably at a desk too put their hands & bare feet on electrode plates, while 2 electrodes are placed on their forehead. The client does nothing during the scan other than stay quiet and still, watching the body being scanned in real time on the screen in front of them... You will find the process absolutely fascinating! At the end of the initial Health Assessment, the results will be explained. Then at your follow up appointment with a qualified Practitioner you will receive a fuller explanation as you view your Body Scan again and a treatment plan specific to your individual health needs, to improve your health will be given. Remember the SCAN does not get you better.

How does the Full Body Scan Work?

The Electro-Interstitial Scanning system health scan biosensor is a new diagnostic aid to measure bio-impedance in interstitial fluids in the body. This technology was originally invented by German and Russian scientists, and was used in the health monitoring of the cosmonauts of the MIR space station. Subsequently a team of European scientists developed the technology over a 10 year period with trials in hospitals and clinics in France for use by mainstream healthcare practitioners in all healthcare fields.

How Does the Scan Work?

This cutting edge medical technology uses (BIA) Bio-Impedance Technology which measures altered body composition – the causal factor of most chronic disease as well as (EIS) Electro Interstitial Scanning Technology which estimates tissue blood flow, oxygen delivery and ATP production which assesses mitochondrial (cell energy) activity, tissue perfusion and tissue density. Also the Pulse Oximeter indirectly assesses the PaO2,partial pressure of oxygen dissolved in blood, by measuring the SpO2 and assesses the oxygen saturation pressure. (HRV) Heart Rate Variability evaluates beat to beat variation which assesses Autonomic Nervous System Activity. Who can have a Full Body Scan?

Suitable for people aged 5 years to 85 years.

Contraindications - Not suitable for people with a pacemaker, absence of a limb, large metal pins in feet or hands, pregnant women over 6 months, or people consuming stimulant drugs or excessive alcohol.

Before the scan do no heavy exercise within 8 hours, only a light meal up to 4 hours before your scan. Women and men—no nail varnish on index finger of left hand, please remove your rings and jewellery, including any piercings.
