Allied Health Centre will be conducting a series of talks on wellness and well being weekly throughout the coming months. These talks are held at the Cleveland Library (Corner of Bloomfield Street and Middle Street) Every Tuesday at 12:00pm. No bookings are necessary, so just turn up with an open mind. Meditation CourseThe purpose of this course is to present a variety of different styles of meditation, visualisation and deep relaxation to assist people to find the style that best suits their wants and needs. Some of the activities that may be included in a session are: short talk and discussion - gentle stretches & deep breathing - deep relaxation (yoga style) - guided visualisation - classical meditation. Experience, share and learn - every meeting is different! Thursday 7.15 pm - 8.15 pm, $10.00 per session. Presented by:

Participants can sit in chairs This is a small class so booking is essential, so call us on (07)3821 5111 Yoga ClassPranayama Yoga -Yoga for Relaxation Learn to relax and remove tension with the ancient art of Yoga. Pranayama Yoga teaches relaxation of mind and body, promotes the elimination of mental and physical tension and allows life to be lived more fully. It brings harmony to body, mind and spirit. This form of yoga is easily adapted for people of any age and level of fitness. Each session begins with a short talk to introduce the yoga philosophy. Some simple stretches are followed by the breathing exercises. Breath is an important part of the yoga, both as an independent practice and to prepare the body for the physical movements that follow. The session ends with deep relaxation. Tuesday 7.00 pm- 8.15 pm, Thursday 9.00 am - 10.15 am, $12.00 per session Taught by Sharon Corbett – Yoga Teacher (listed with ‘The Lotus and the Rose’ in the UK) Sharon has studied and taught yoga for more than 35 years. She is also a fully qualified counsellor & life coach (holistic & conventional, specialising in stress management and natural health & wellness).
